The Department of Bharathanatyam, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, organized “Deeksha,” a Bharathanatyam workshop on 24th February at 9:30 am in the Centenary Hall. The session was led by the resource person, Roopika Julien from Kalakshetra.

The programme was inaugurated by Sister Francis Ann in the esteemed presence of Dr. Kala M.S. (Dean), the resource person, and the faculty of the Department of Bharathanatyam. The workshop focused on the teaching of a Thillana, offering students both practical exposure and deeper insight into the nuances of Bharathanatyam.

A total of 56 participants attended the session, including students from outside the institution. The workshop continued till 4:00 pm and proved to be an enriching and informative experience for all participants.
