A breast cancer awareness programme titled “Chirag – Rise with Courage” was conducted at St. Teresa’s College on 13 November 2025 at 10:00 AM. The programme was organized in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, Asianet News, and DDRC Agilus Diagnostics.

The session began with a welcome speech, followed by informative sessions handled by expert doctors. Dr. Misha J.C. Babu, Professor of General Surgery, and Dr. Lakshmi Radhakrishnan, Consultant in Breast and Endocrine Surgery, explained the importance of early detection and awareness of breast cancer. Dr. Rakesh M. P., Associate Professor in Medical Oncology, spoke about treatment methods and recent developments in cancer care. The session by Dr. Nisha, Consultant Pathologist from DDRC, focused on diagnosis and screening procedures. The speakers highlighted the importance of self-examination, regular screening, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
