The Department of Psychology, St. Teresa's College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, organized an online session titled "Self Help for Mental Health Using Digital Tools", presented by Ms. Hridya H Kumar, Psychologist at NIMHANS. The session introduced students to innovative digital platforms designed to enhance accessibility to mental health support, including Let's Talk Life, an anonymous peer-support forum offering empathetic responses within 48 hours; MindNotes, which provides self-discovery assessments, crisis planning, toolkits for anxiety and negative thoughts, consultation options, and stigma-reducing activities; and PUSH-D, featuring screening, mood tracking, myth-busting information, and mental health resources. Together, these tools demonstrated how technology can make mental health support more accessible, immediate, and stigma-free. The session also highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit behind developing scalable, technology-driven mental health solutions, encouraging students to view digital innovation as a meaningful pathway to address systemic gaps in care. By bridging psychology with digital entrepreneurship, the session inspired students to explore creative and sustainable approaches to mental health support.
