The Department of Psychology, St. Teresa's College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, in collaboration with Cloud Cuckoo Land, a Mental Health Service Centre at Kakkanad, organized a one-hour session titled "Psychology in Practice" for first-year and final-year students of the Department of Psychology on 3rd March 2026. The session was led by Dr. Sooryajith M, Consultant Psychiatrist, and Ms. Anjana K, Clinical Psychologist, Cloud Cuckoo Land, who offered candid insights into the ground realities of clinical practice and the need for building competence and expertise in the field. They underscored the importance of integrating clinical exposure with theoretical knowledge, with particular emphasis on the practice of Case History and Mental Status Examination formats as essential tools in clinical consultations. The session also provided an open space for students to interact with the resource persons and clarify their doubts about clinical practice, making it an engaging and practically enriching experience.
