The Department of Cyber Security and Applied Computing organized an online webinar titled

“IGNITE: AI and Career Growth in Industry” on December 9th, 2025. The resource person for

the session was Ms. Kirti Jayadevan, Senior QA Test Lead at Fox Corporation, San Francisco.

The session witnessed an excellent response, with more than 80 students from the department

actively participating. Ms. Kirti Jayadevan shared valuable insights into the growing influence

of Artificial Intelligence across industries, with special emphasis on how AI is reshaping roles,

workflows, and skill demands in the tech sector. She also highlighted essential career pathways,

key competencies required in the field, and practical steps students can take to prepare

themselves for industry-level opportunities.

Throughout the session, students engaged enthusiastically, asking relevant questions and

seeking guidance related to career growth, AI tools, and industry expectations. The talk was

informative, motivating, and highly beneficial for students aspiring to enter the rapidly

evolving technology landscape.
